Chinese Officials Recent Breach of Pittsburgh

Company’s Computer Security

Not Its First Foray Into U.S. Computer Hacking

Pittsburgh, PA…According to President and Chief Security Officer of IT Security, Inc. Albert E. Whale, Chinese officials and companies hack into American company’s computer systems regularly and have been for many years.

“Based in China, the world’s largest government-backed hacking force is the Chinese Blue Army.  U.S. Government is attempting to bring about some consequence to the Chinese Government-backed hacking of American businesses and it is apparent that the security for these corporations is currently under a microscope. The question now becomes, can the U.S. Government recover anything for these corporations which had intellectual property stolen from them?” relates Mr. Whale.

“It is apparent that the Chinese organizations now have an unfair advantage with the stolen information from these American companies, as related by U.S. Steel and its loss of intellectual property resulting in the loss of jobs.   The question now is can there be any compensation for the companies that have lost intellectual property and, as a result, income and laid off workers.  Even if the government places sanctions again these companies doing business in the US, what can they do to level the playing field globally?”

“The best defense against cyber hacking includes education on the latest hacking and anti-hacking software, using the best up-to date anti-hacking methods to stay ahead of the hackers and never let your guard down,” says Mr. Whale.  “Always be proactive against cyber hackers.  The more difficult it is to hack into one company’s computer system, the sooner that hacker will move on to another computer to attempt to hack.  The best defense is improving your defense. Cyber crime is something that can best be expected to be prevented, and cannot be anticipated to be made whole once the information is taken away.”
